On November 11th, a personal exhibition of the renowned Georgian artist Olesia Tavadze was held at the Art Palace of Georgia - Museum of Cultural History, organized by Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia and the Art Palace. The exhibition gave special prominence to the artist's orientalist works. The artist illustrated oriental-themed works such as: "Tengu's Folding Fan", Japanese Fairy Tales (1972), Wilhelm Hauff's "The Story of Little Muck" (2018), and Zsombok Timar Gyorgy's Nepalese Story. The opening ceremony was attended by many admirers of the artist's work. Among the speakers was Tamar Latsabidze, Vice President of the Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia.
During the meeting, it was announced that the society will publish a bilingual catalog dedicated to the artist's work in collaboration with Tbilisi City Hall and the Art Palace of Georgia in 2025, with a significant focus on orientalist themes. Olesia Tavadze is a laureate of the international literary program “Step by Step”among children's writers. Her fairy tale "Paskulina and Busunsula" has been translated into many languages.
