Presentation of the Collection – “The Georgian of the Seventh Continent”

On April 2, a presentation of a unique memoir was held at the Art Palace of Georgia.

For the first time in Georgia’s history, the collection titled “The Georgian of the Seventh Continent” was published in both Georgian and English. The book tells the story of a Georgian living in Australia, alongside the dramatic events of independent Georgia’s past. A young Georgian named Shalva Gigolashvili finds himself in England with the help of the British Army. The story unfolds in a compelling way: a small boy who fled Georgia due to misfortune eventually becomes a favorite of the Prince of Wales. The presentation was attended by Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, and Koba Kobaladze, Director of the State Service for Veterans Affairs and Major General. And the Guests from Australia including the author’s son, Gregory Zakharov, and his grandson, David Zakharov.

The collection was published with the support of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia and the Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia.
