Visit of the Ambassador of Japan to the Art Palace of Georgia - Museum of Cultural History

On October 9, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to our country, Mr. Hideki Ishizuka visited the Art Palace of Georgia. The ambassador is a great admirer of Oriental art, accordingly, he proceeded to examine the pieces from the museum’s Japanese art collection. As a gift, he received publications from the Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia and the and Art Palce of Georgia - Museum of Cultural History. We are delighted that the Ambassador was very impressed by the monuments of Japanese culture that the museum has collected over the years, many of which have turned out to be unique and of great artistic value. Interesting perspectives for future cooperation between the Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia, the Art Palace of Georgia– Museum of Cultural History, and the Japanese side were outlined. We extend our sincere gratitude to His Excellency Ishizuka Hideki for his fruitful visit to the museum.
