On March 11 in London, in the main hall of the Royal Asiatic Society, Alison Ohta, the Director of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britan and Ireland was awarded a silver-gilt medal for her exceptional scientific contribution to Georgian-British relations.

In November, a bilingual (Georgian-English) catalog was published through the collaboration of the Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia and the Dadiani Palace of Zugdidi.

On November 11th, a personal exhibition of the renowned Georgian artist Olesia Tavadze was held at the Art Palace of Georgia - Museum of Cultural History, organized by Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia and the Art Palace.

The Art Palace of Georgia, with active participation by the Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia, celebrated the 150th anniversary of Julius Straume, the renown Latvian public figure and one of the first orientalists in Georgia who studied textile graphics and weaving traditions among the people of the Caucasus.

“Georgian Manuscripts of Chronicles of Georgia in the British Library,” project has recently been recognized as one of the successful initiatives under the “Diaspora Initiatives” program for its outstanding execution, and has received an award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Georgia.

Through the collaboration of the Palace of Arts and the Royal Asiatic Society of Georgia, a virtual exhibition has been created and published on the website of the world’s largest cultural institution, Google Cultural Institute.
